Client’s wishes were to have an easier transition from room to room. The den was located in a lower level than the living room and hallway area. There are many transitions that can be installed in these types of situations depending on the height of the transition difference. A T-Molding can be used when both levels of the flooring is the same level. A Reducer is used when one flooring is slightly higher than the other flooring. An Endcap is used when the flooring is higher than the carpet in another area. A Stairnose is a transition used to install on the edges of stairs. In this case, we used a specialized wood ramp to help with the higher transition difference since the height difference was too much for the standard thresholds. We installed a low pile pattern carpet to help with traffic use. Our client decided on the Dreamweaver line, Seascape color Cocoa which has a linear pattern. Having the low pile carpet with the wood ramp helped make the transition smoother. Also having a ramp makes an easier transition for all ages. The color Cocoa matches the current color flooring they had in their home, keeping with the brown tones throughout the home.
Our client wanted to redecorate a conference room to make it more modern and trendier. With any conference room or auditorium, the main concern is the amount of traffic that the carpet will endure. Also, you have to consider making it feel professional and appealing to your guests. In this project, in the city of Paramount, the client already had existing flooring installed and we were brought in to find a suitable carpet to compliment the current color flooring and provide options for a good high traffic commercial carpet option. After reviewing many different carpet choices, the client decided to go with a Shaw Philadelphia Commercial Product. They decided to go with Cutaway carpet color Specimen to compliment the current grey flooring they already had installed in the area. Commercial carpet can always be installed with a commercial padding or it can be directly glued to the subfloor. In this case, a glue down application was done to help with the longevity of the life of the carpet. Customizing the layout of the carpet next to the flooring is essential in a smooth transition between both options. In this case, making the half moon transition gave this space a more modern look.
Our client took months to find the perfect home and finally decided on a quiet and enclosed community in the city of La Habra. As with any new home purchase, you have to make it feel like home. That is where we step in, to meet with our client to see what kind of feel they wanted for their home for their 3 children and dog. Finding the appropriate colors and flooring for making this their home took time and going through many collections. Finally, they chose a Dreamweaver carpet, Perpetual II in the color Fog. This carpet has a multi spec appearance that is good for high traffic and hides dirt. We installed it in all the bedrooms and staircase. To complete the combination, we installed a 12 mil wear layer Paradigm waterproof planks in the color White Sea to compliment the carpet. The waterproof flooring was installed in the living areas including kitchen and bathrooms. Having waterproof flooring helps eliminate the concern about damaged planks due to water damage giving you a peace of mind. Adding a 6” base board molding completes the look for the whole house. Now their home is move in ready to start making memorable moments.
